, PermanentProgeny HR Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at the Cardiovascular Operating Room in Salem, VA. As a full-time, permanent employee, you will play a vital role in assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures. Responsibilities:- Prepare operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and other supplies- Monitor and maintain sterile field throughout surgery- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide necessary supplies and equipment- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment for sterilization- Assist with patient positioning and prepping for surgery- Document and maintain accurate records of surgical procedures- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols- Continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing education and trainingQualifications:- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification- Minimum of 2 years experience in a cardiovascular operating room setting- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment- Excellent communication and teamwork skills- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift/move heavy equipment- Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call as neededWe offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for growth and advancement within our organization.
