Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Grand Blanc, MI (Hybrid – occasionally come in-office)
Duration: Permanent (FTE)
Shifts: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $80,000 – $90,000/year (based on experience and education)
Position Overview:
McLaren Health Care is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its corporate Decision Support team. In this pivotal role, you’ll provide high-level financial and operational analysis to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in healthcare finance, strong data skills (including SQL and Tableau), and a strategic mindset focused on cost accounting and proforma development.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform complex financial and statistical analyses to assess the operational and financial impacts of proposed management decisions.
Deliver analytical support using diverse data sources; interpret findings to guide strategic planning and operations.
Develop proposals and identify program opportunities for improvement and cost control.
Prepare and assist with strategic, operational, and cost-related studies.
Maintain data integrity and accuracy in all reporting activities.
Support implementation and optimization of financial systems and analytical tools.
Work independently with large datasets to provide actionable insights.
Required Qualifications (Must be clearly met for submission):
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a closely related field
– Required for standard qualification pathway
– If a Bachelor’s degree is NOT held, the candidate must meet the 10-year experience threshold described below
OR
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in healthcare financial analysis or healthcare finance, including:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access
– Must be able to handle data manipulation, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and multi-source integration
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Business or Healthcare Administration
1+ year of experience in healthcare contract management or reimbursement systems
Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies
