Job Summary

The Assistant Professor of Nursing is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position responsible for providing high-quality instruction and academic support to students enrolled in the Nursing program. The faculty member will contribute to the college's mission of promoting student success and workforce readiness through effective teaching, service, and professional engagement.

Job Duties

Fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a full-time faculty member at RSCC as stated in PA-24-01.

Provide classroom instruction for nursing students utilizing a variety of evidence-based teaching strategies.

Provide clinical/lab instruction as assigned incorporating evidenced based teaching strategies.

Participate in program/division/college committees as assigned.

Advise prospective and currently enrolled nursing students.

Participate in college and/or programmatic recruitment activities.

Participate in college and programmatic accreditation activities.

Engage in ongoing scholarship as it relates to nursing education and nursing practice. 

Minimum Qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing
Current TN Nursing License or multistate license
Current CPR
Ability to comply with requirements of various clinical affiliates to participate in clinical instruction.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous teaching experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
