Job description

Professional and administrative work involving the application of the principles of engineering and project management. Responsible for administration and coordination of construction projects involving potable water, sanitary sewer, reclaimed water, and sanitary sewer plants. Prepares reports and makes presentations; coordinates with contractors, developers, engineers and the public; signs and seals documents. Reviews and tracks water and wastewater permit conditions and regulations for utility facilities. Supports the complete asset life cycle, which includes coordinating/planning/managing of activities for the operation, maintenance, optimization and rationalization of assets. Receives assignments in specific or general terms from an engineering superior. Work is complex and requires considerable contact with individuals as well as public and private organizations. A high level of independent professional judgment and decision-making is essential.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Florida OR Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Environmental/Mechanical Engineering; minimum of four (4) years of experience in professional engineering work related to water and wastewater.

Necessary Special Requirement : Licensed as a P.E. in the State of FL OR licensed as a P.E. in another state and ability to obtain State of FL P.E. licensure within 11 months of hire .
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE IN/WITH : Utilities (potable water and sanitary sewer); working with Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT); working with Palm Beach County (PBC) Roadway and/or Building Department.
