Job description

At KLAS, our mission is to improve healthcare by amplifying truth through collaboration, insights, and transparency.

We're looking for an Industry Research Writer who can transform complex healthcare technology research into clear, credible, and compelling industry reports. This isn't a traditional writing role—we're looking for someone who is AI-native and already uses AI as a core part of their professional writing workflow.

The ideal candidate combines exceptional writing skills with sound editorial judgment and knows how to leverage AI responsibly to improve quality, efficiency, and consistency. You'll partner closely with stakeholders to create trusted research that helps healthcare leaders make better technology decisions while helping KLAS modernize how we produce written content.

What You'll Do

  • Write clear, engaging industry reports based on research findings, feedback, survey data, and analyst expertise.
  • Translate complex healthcare technology topics into content that is accurate, readable, and valuable for executive audiences.
  • Collaborate with analysts, writers, and stakeholders to ensure every report reflects the quality and credibility expected from KLAS.
  • Use AI to accelerate research synthesis, outlining, drafting, editing, and revision while maintaining rigorous editorial standards.
  • Develop documentation, templates, and best practices that help writers and editors adopt AI responsibly.
  • Ensure every published report is well-sourced, factually accurate, and aligned with the KLAS voice.

What You Bring

  • Professional writing experience in industry research, healthcare technology, B2B publishing, consulting, analyst firms, or a related field.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
  • Experience using AI as part of a real-world writing and editing workflow—not just occasional brainstorming.
  • Strong critical thinking and editorial judgment, with a focus on accuracy, sourcing, and credibility.
  • Ability to organize information from multiple sources into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Editing degree or certificate
  • Experience writing about healthcare, healthcare IT, enterprise software, AI, cybersecurity, or SaaS
  • Familiarity with analyst-style research reports.
  • Experience building prompts, custom GPTs, AI agents, structured editorial workflows, or complex AI tool utilization
  • Experience working with research data, charts, and qualitative findings.
  • Passion for improving writing processes through thoughtful use of technology.

The salary range for this role starts at $70,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined according to the candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. We offer exceptional benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, HSA with company match, 401K with company match, PTO, and more.
All employees undergo a comprehensive internal education program to gain knowledge of the healthcare information technology industry and KLAS' methodology. Learn more about us at www.klasresearch.com.
