At Fitness Together Fairfax, we believe personal training is about far more than counting reps. We provide individualized coaching in private training suites where our clients receive exceptional care, accountability, and results. We're looking for an energetic, professional trainer who is passionate about helping people improve their quality of life through strength training and movement.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to grow within a supportive team, develop professionally, and build meaningful relationships with clients.
Why Join Fitness Together Fairfax?
  •  Competitive compensation with performance incentives
  •  Established client base—no prospecting or selling gym memberships
  •  Paid continuing education and mentorship
  •  Career advancement opportunities
  •  Flexible scheduling
  •  Private one-on-one training environment
  •  Small, supportive team culture
  •  Opportunities to grow into leadership roles
  •  Work that truly makes a difference in people's lives
What You'll Do
  •  Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments and movement evaluations.
  •  Design individualized, evidence-based exercise programs for clients of all ages and abilities.
  •  Deliver exceptional one-on-one and semi-private personal training sessions.
  •  Track client progress and modify programs to ensure continual improvement.
  •  Educate clients on exercise technique, recovery, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle habits.
  •  Build genuine relationships that keep clients motivated and committed to their goals.
  •  Collaborate with teammates to provide an exceptional client experience.
  •  Maintain accurate session notes and client records.
  •  Help create a welcoming, energetic, and professional studio culture.
What We're Looking For
  •  Current nationally accredited Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACSM, NSCA, ACE, ISSA, or equivalent), or actively working toward certification.
  •  CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain before starting).
  •  Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field preferred.
  •  Strong understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, exercise physiology, and strength training principles.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  •  Professional, dependable, organized, and coachable.
  •  Positive attitude with a passion for helping others succeed.
  •  Team-oriented with a desire to continue learning and growing.
  •  Comfortable working with beginners, older adults, post-rehabilitation clients, and special populations.
The Trainer Who Thrives Here
We're looking for someone who:
  •  Loves coaching more than counting reps.
  •  Values relationships over transactions.
  •  Believes strength training changes lives.
  •  Wants mentorship from experienced fitness professionals.
  •  Takes initiative and enjoys learning.
  •  Provides an exceptional client experience every session.
  •  Wants to build a long-term career—not just another training job.
