Job description

About Toyota of Olympia
At Toyota of Olympia, we believe something simple:
Cars can be replaced. People cannot.
Every vehicle we sell will eventually be traded, every part can be reordered, and every building can be remodeled. But the relationships we build with our customers and our employees are irreplaceable-and those relationships are what have made Toyota of Olympia one of the most respected dealerships in the Pacific Northwest.
We're in the people business first. We just happen to sell and service vehicles.
Our mission is to create an experience that customers remember long after they drive off the lot. We don't measure success by a single transaction-we measure it by earning customers for life. That means treating every customer with honesty, respect, professionalism, and genuine care.
We believe the same philosophy applies to our employees.
When you join Toyota of Olympia, you're not just accepting a job-you're joining a team that is committed to helping you grow personally and professionally. We invest in training, encourage new ideas, celebrate success, and promote from within whenever possible. We work hard, hold ourselves to a high standard, and genuinely enjoy what we do.
We're looking for people who take pride in their work, believe in doing the right thing even when no one is watching, and understand that exceptional customer experiences are created by exceptional people.
If you're looking for a place where your work matters, where your teammates have your back, where leadership is invested in your success, and where you can build a long-term career-not just collect a paycheck-we'd love to meet you.
Toyota of Olympia
Driven by People. Built on Relationships.
We're not looking for someone to manage social media. We're looking for someone to build a brand.
Toyota of Olympia is one of the largest and fastest-growing Toyota dealerships in the Pacific Northwest, and we're looking for an exceptional Brand Content Creator & Storyteller to help us redefine what dealership marketing looks like.
This is not an entry-level position.
This is not a remote position.
This is not a job where you'll spend your day scheduling Facebook posts from behind a desk.
We're looking for someone who lives with a camera in their hand, sees stories where everyone else sees ordinary moments, and has the creativity and experience to bring those stories to life.
Every customer delivery.
Every technician solving a difficult repair.
Every employee celebration.
Every community event.
Every behind-the-scenes moment.
These are the stories that define Toyota of Olympia, and we're looking for someone talented enough to capture them.
If you're passionate about photography, videography, drone cinematography, storytelling, and creating content that people actually enjoy watching, we want to hear from you
What You'll Do
This is a highly creative, hands-on position.
You'll spend your days walking the dealership, interacting with employees and customers, attending events, capturing authentic moments, and producing engaging content that tells the Toyota of Olympia story.
Responsibilities include:
  • Capture high-quality photo and video content throughout the dealership every day.
  • Produce engaging short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms.
  • Film customer vehicle deliveries, employee spotlights, technician features, service operations, dealership culture, and community involvement.
  • Capture cinematic drone footage of the dealership, inventory, special events, and community activities.
  • Edit professional-quality videos and photography that align with our brand.
  • Stay current on social media trends and creatively adapt them to Toyota of Olympia.
  • Work directly with our Marketing Manager to execute marketing campaigns and develop fresh content ideas.
  • Maintain a content calendar while ensuring a steady stream of original content every week.
  • Attend dealership events, community events, sponsorships, and after-hours functions when needed.
  • Monitor analytics and continually improve engagement and performance.
  • Serve as a positive ambassador for Toyota of Olympia in every interaction.
Who We're Looking For
We aren't looking for someone who simply knows how to post on Instagram.
We're looking for a storyteller.
Someone who naturally notices moments others miss.
Someone who walks into a room and immediately starts thinking...
"That would make an incredible Reel."
The ideal candidate:
  • Is highly creative and constantly generating new ideas.
  • Has exceptional photography and videography skills.
  • Has a strong understanding of storytelling through video.
  • Understands what performs well across today's social media platforms.
  • Is comfortable approaching customers and employees to create authentic content.
  • Can work independently without waiting for direction.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are alike.
  • Is energetic, outgoing, professional, and passionate about creating outstanding work.
  • Brings fresh ideas and creative energy every day.
Required Qualifications
This is designed for an experienced content creator-not someone looking to break into the industry.
To be considered, applicants must have:
  • At least three (3) years of professional content creation experience creating content for businesses, brands, agencies, or media companies.
  • Professional experience in photography and videography.
  • Professional experience editing short-form video content.
  • Experience managing or creating content for business social media accounts.
  • Experience using professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar.
  • Experience operating professional camera equipment.
  • Experience flying drones to capture professional-quality footage.
  • FAA Part 107 Drone Certification is strongly preferred.
Applications Will Only Be Considered If They Include
  • Resume
  • Links to social media accounts you have personally managed or created content for
  • Photography portfolio
  • Examples of short-form videos you personally filmed and edited

Applications submitted without the above will not be considered.
Before You Apply...
Ask yourself these questions:
Have I professionally created content for a business or brand?
Can I show examples of videos I personally filmed and edited?
Do I have professional photography experience?
Can I confidently operate professional camera equipment?
Do I have experience creating content that generated measurable engagement?
Am I comfortable approaching customers and employees to capture authentic moments?
Can I independently create compelling content every day without waiting for someone to tell me what to film?
If you answered "No" to several of these questions, this position is likely not the right fit.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role isn't measured by simply checking off a posting schedule.
It's measured by creating content that makes people stop scrolling.
You'll be successful when:
  • Original content is being created every day.
  • Employees are excited to participate in videos.
  • Customers love sharing their delivery experience.
  • Our social channels feel authentic, engaging, and alive.
  • Our videos tell stories-not just advertise vehicles.
  • Engagement, reach, and followers continue to grow.
  • People recognize Toyota of Olympia as one of the best automotive brands to follow in the Pacific Northwest.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive hourly wage $35-$40/hr depending on your level of experience.
  • Benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
  • Paid time off and holidays.
  • Opportunities for professional growth.
  • Creative freedom to bring your ideas to life.
  • Work with one of the most progressive dealership marketing teams in the region.
Our Hiring Process
We take creativity seriously.
Finalists will be invited to participate in a short creative exercise during the interview process.
You'll spend approximately 30 minutes walking our dealership and then present three original content ideas you would create for Toyota of Olympia.
We're not looking for finished videos-we're looking to see how you think, how you tell stories, and how you identify opportunities that others might miss.
Ready to Create Something Different?
If you're an experienced content creator who believes brands are built through authentic storytelling-not just advertising-we'd love to meet you.
Come help us build something people want to follow.
Toyota of Olympia is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
The pay range for this role is:
35 - 40 USD per hour (Main Location )
