We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who is deeply technical, highly hands-on, and passionate about building scalable, high-quality software solutions that deliver meaningful business and customer value. This role is suited for an experienced engineer who takes end-to-end ownership-from system design and implementation through deployment and operational excellence-and who leads through both technical expertise and strong collaboration.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM- 5 PM
Location: Remote, Nationwide
You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate on the design and implementation of scalable, reliable software solutions that support PRIME's core business and platform capabilities
  • Own complex technical areas end-to-end, including architecture decisions, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing operational support
  • Drive technical excellence by setting coding standards, reviewing designs and pull requests, and improving system quality, performance, and maintainability
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, architects, SRE, and partner teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
  • Mentor and support other engineers, providing technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and constructive feedback to raise the overall team bar
  • Identify and reduce technical debt, proactively proposing and executing refactoring or modernization efforts aligned with PRIME's roadmap
  • Contribute to system reliability and operational readiness, including monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis, and post-incident improvements
  • Ensure security, compliance, and best practices are embedded into all stages of development and delivery

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including designing and developing modern applications in Java and Spring Boot
  • 7+ years of experience building and consuming APIs, including RESTful services and distributed system integrations
  • 5+ years of experience with front-end development using Angular and/or React
  • 5+ years of experience working in cloud-native environments, preferably Microsoft Azure, with an understanding of scalability, security, and performance best practices
  • 5+ years of experience working with data platforms, including MySQL and Snowflake, with the ability to design, optimize, and manage data workflows
  • 2+ years of experience implementing and using observability and monitoring tools, such as Datadog, Glitchtip, or similar platforms
  • 2+ years of experience working within CI/CD pipelines, using GitHub and GitHub Actions to support automated testing, deployment, and iterative development
  • 2+ years of experience mentoring engineers, providing technical guidance, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in healthcare technology is preferred, and hands-on experience with healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR) is a significant advantage

Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and stakeholder teams

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
