Scrum Master
Location: Columbia, SC (Onsite)
Interview Process: 1 round, Virtual/Online
Duration: 12 MonthsEmployment Type: ContractExperience Required: 06+ Years
Candidate Location: Candidate MUST be a SC resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to starting the role at their own expense.
Project Scope:
Client is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to facilitate Agile Scrum processes and guide project teams in delivering high-quality solutions efficiently. This is a new position created to support Agile project delivery and operational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate Agile Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
• Ensure teams follow Scrum framework, Agile principles, and best practices
• Remove impediments and help teams maintain productivity and delivery timelines
• Work closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and development teams to align project goals and priorities
• Promote continuous improvement through feedback sessions and retrospectives
• Track project progress, KPIs, risks, and issues while communicating updates to stakeholders
• Support teams in delivering high-quality products and solutions within schedule and budget
• Mentor and coach teams to foster Agile maturity and collaboration
• Coordinate activities across hybrid project environments combining Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Utilize Azure DevOps and Agile project management tools for sprint tracking and project coordination
• Assist with database querying and programming-related coordination activities as needed
Required Skills & Experience:
• 3+ Years of experience as a Scrum Master
• 3+ Years of experience with Azure DevOps
• 3+ Years of experience leading Scrum ceremonies
• 3+ Years of experience with Agile project management tools
• 3+ Years of experience with hybrid project management (Agile + Waterfall)
• 3+ Years of experience with database querying and programming
• Strong understanding of Agile Scrum principles and methodologies
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills:
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification
• Government project experience
• ERP system experience
Education:Bachelor's degree ( field of study is open but the degree must be complete and verifiable)
