Job description

Oversees all aspects of Physicians Relations, including provider recruitment, clinic scheduling and provider relationship management. Responsible for providing an adequate supply of IME providers to meet referral demand. Serves as a primary ambassador for Genex to the provider community. Communicate changes in policy to providers.

Main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Manages the physician recruiting and scheduling functions.
  • Oversees all aspects of physician management regarding their relationship with appropriate Genex Branches
  • Makes recommendations for changes to existing fee schedules.
  • Communicates with physicians on a daily basis regarding any concerns or issues related to their work with Genex.
  • Participates in the recruiting process, primarily involving orthopedic surgeons.
  • Manages and participates in the physician orientation process.
  • Manages the physician credentialing process.
  • Approves physician expense reimbursement requests.
  • Works with departmental managers and staff regarding report quality issues, billing/payment issues, clinic concerns, medical records issues and scheduling concerns.
  • Works closely with Client Services Manager and staff regarding complex or special IME scheduling.
  • Participates in regular Physician Relations/Marketing meetings.
  • Utilize computers to complete tasks, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Four-year degree or equivalent experience required.

At least 5 years working with medical providers in a professional capacity.

At least 3-5 years IME industry experience.

5 years in a managerial/supervisory role preferred.

Experience in sales or personnel recruiting functions preferred.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. Ability to deal with work related calls off hours.
