Quanex is looking for a Programmer & Analyst to join our team located in Houston, Texas.

The Programmer & Analyst is responsible for the entire software development cycle (systems investigation, systems analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation) on software application projects of low to medium complexity.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Complete all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle on new software application projects.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, resolve issues, and provide enhancements to existing software applications.
  • Design and develop application logic, database objects, and user interfaces that comply with gathered business requirements for new software applications or changes to existing applications. The difficulty of these applications can range from easy to difficult.
  • General knowledge of project management practices with the ability to lead technical projects.
  • Responsible for coordinating and overseeing assigned technical projects.
  • Develop applications with MS SQL and integrate C# applications.
  • Implement Unit Testing for QA.
  • Work in a manner that keeps applications, systems, and processes in compliance with SOX, General Computing Controls, and the Company’s business policies.
  • Liaison with external consultants and vendors to deliver third-party business solutions as needed.
  • Collaborate with and help to mentor other IT Application team members.
  • Respond to all support ticket requests within the time frame outlined in our IT support policies.
  • Will be working on multiple projects simultaneously, moving them forward in an effective manner.
  • Take part in more significant projects in conjunction with other IT team members.
  • Takes part in troubleshooting problems and training end users in developed applications.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an IT professional
  • Technical knowledge in one or more of the following is required: Microsoft .NET framework, HTML, ASP, Bootstrap, JavaScript Libraries, MS SQL, API Web Services (REST, SOAP, JSON)
  • Experience with source control tools such as GIT, Bitbucket, Team Foundation Server is preferred.
  • Experience with one or more of these applications is preferred: Salesforce, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, OneStream, MS Azure, Infor CSI ERP, Data Integration tools such as SSIS or Talend

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $98,000 with bonus potential.
