Overview

Known as one of Fortune Magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For," Kimley-Horn is seeking a TxDOT Roadway Practice Leader to join our leadership team in Richardson, TX. 

Responsibilities

Kimley-Horn is seeking an entrepreneurial and growth minded Senior Project Manager/Practice Builder to lead and grow a DOT/Roadway practice in the Richardson area.

The qualified individual will lead a Civil Design team focused on Roadway projects while building and managing relationships with key relationships. Leadership responsibilities include: Collaborating with like-minded partners to provide vision, business planning and strategy while growing and leading a team that is passionate for growth.

Our Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff and act as a positive leader and mentor. The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business. With success, this individual will enjoy the rewards of an impressive bonus program with the potential to advance to ownership.

QualificationsIdeal background:
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Registered PE in the State of TX
  • 15+ years of experience in all facets of roadway/municipal design including experience leading projects specifically within DFW. 
  • Experience leading a team as Project Manager on a diversity of Roadway and/or TxDOT projects
  • Experience with business development and marketing including writing proposals, developing scopes of work, and budgets for projected work  
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
  • Demonstrated ability to manage municipal/roadway projects profitably
