Description: Following the successful opening of our Naples showroom in January 2025, Walter E. Smithe Furniture & Design is continuing to grow and is seeking experienced Design Sales Consultants to join our expanding team.
This is an exciting opportunity for accomplished design professionals to combine their passion for design, client relationships, and consultative selling while building a successful business. Enjoy uncapped earning potential, including commission paid on written sales, along with the support of a collaborative, established team.
For more than 80 years, Walter E. Smithe Furniture & Design has built a reputation for exceptional service, quality furnishings, and design expertise. With our growing Naples showroom, we're looking for experienced professionals who are passionate about creating beautiful spaces and delivering an outstanding client experience.
What you'll do:
  • Partner with clients to design inspiring spaces that reflect their lifestyle and vision
  • Build lasting client relationships through personalized service and outreach
  • Conduct in-home visits and use advanced design tools to bring concepts to life
  • Primarily custom and special order, including private label brands, as well as Century, American Leather, Vanguard, Hancock & Moore, Universal, Hooker, and many others.
  • Manage multiple projects while achieving individual sales goals
  • Collaborate with a dedicated support team of client service, accounting, and delivery professionals

Training & Support: We invest in your success with a career-focused training program:

  • Comprehensive training that develops design & sales expertise, software proficiency, and project management skills

  • Hourly paid training for up to the first 4 months, with the option to transition to commission sooner

Compensation & Benefits:
