Job description

What Do We Do Here?

Our Conroe Facility manufactures downhole products for drilling activities in North America. The plant operates 24/7 to meet the high demand for these products. We provide our employees with an air-conditioned environment, a highly organized and clean 300,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility, new CNC Machines (Mazak, Mori Seiki, DMG Mori, Weiler, etc.), and a robust safety program designed to ensure our team's well-being, so they can return home safely to their families after every shift.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Perform inspections on components, purchased parts, and/or finished products as required.
  • Perform source inspections at facilities.
  • Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents.
  • Review inspection records received for compliance.
  • Maintain inspection and measuring equipment.
  • Prepare and coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for nonconforming parts.
  • Maintain NOV guidelines on safety, quality, and delivery.
  • Clean work areas as necessary to maintain cleanliness, health, and safety standards.
  • All other reasonable tasks are assigned to help the team, operations, or the facility overall.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred and/or
  • 3+ yrs. of related job experience required
  • 1+ yrs. knowledge of standard safety and manufacturing processes preferred
  • Experience in Quality Control, Machinist, or General Manufacturing is highly preferred 
  • Demonstrable experience reading and understanding engineering prints.
  • Demonstrable experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • Demonstrable experience using computer software programs (GagePack, ERP, Excel, Word).
  • Non-destructive inspection experience.
