Summary
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D166000 and is part of the 106TH RQW, National Guard.

As a INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, GS-0132-11, you will perform specialized duties and to trainassigned military unit members in the duties and functions associated with operational intelligence.Provides detailed intelligence analysis for mission planning, aircrew briefings and debriefings.Trainer and task certifier for intelligence systems, order of battle maintenance, mission planning,threat analysis, and GI&S support. In addition, the incumbent performs complex intelligenceanalysis of all pertinent threat weapons systems and geopolitical conditions that could impact theunit's mission success. This position requires a comprehensive working knowledge of intelligencesupport operations, procedures, and practices.

  • NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter prior to applying for this position.
  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
  • Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
  • Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a two year trial period.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance and be eligible for access to Special Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Required to fly in military or commercial aircraft.
  • May be required to work uncommon tours on short notice.
  • For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.

Qualifications
Military Grades: Enlisted
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which demonstrates administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work requiring the ability to deal effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts. Experience preparing clear and concise written reports.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have one year specialized experience must be equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Experience, education or training developing and recommending policy, organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of intelligence operations. Experience in administrative, investigative, or technical work which required the applicant to deal effectively with others. Experience collecting, evaluating and organizing pertinent facts and to analyze and prepare clear and concise reports. Experience representing the organization at interagency conferences and meetings that deal with specialty functions and internal training requirements at the unit level. Must have experience identifying training requirements and conducting or organizing training courses for intelligence personnel on operational intelligence related subjects to include worldwide surface-to-air missile (SAM), air-to-air missile (AAM), anti-aircraft artillery (AAA), aircraft capabilities and employment, and the marking and destruction of classified material.

COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond a four year degree in a related field.
You must provide an Official Transcripts as documentation to support your educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
