Job description

Playground is an internationally renowned gaming destination located a short 15-minute drive south of downtown Montreal, within the Mohawk territory of Kahnawake. We are currently expanding, unveiling new gaming floors, a luxurious hotel, and specialized dining options.

Position Overview:

The VIP Gaming Host is responsible for ensuring that our guests enjoy a high quality and memorable gaming experience. As a Host at Playground you will be responsible for bringing energy, familiarity and success to the gaming floor. Your role will be to build loyalty with our guests, increase visitation and recruit new players through a variety of direct sales activities.

Schedule: rotating - days, evenings, weekends

Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with assigned VIP guests
  • Devotes time on the floor greeting guests and ensures a friendly and positive experience through prompt, courteous and efficient service.
  • Accommodate guests needs within Host program guidelines to ensure satisfaction and drive return visits.
  • Makes appropriate decisions regarding complimentary offerings by evaluating the gaming activity of individual players such as recorded play, earned points, comp availability, and guest profitability.
  • Monitor guests betting habits and levels of participation in order to manage programs and ensure maximum profit margins, adequate play levels, and appropriate cost control.
  • Participate in call-center efforts to invite guests to special events, individual visits, incentives and reactivate guests and/or obtain feedback on guest satisfaction
  • Review all department related reports and use the provided data to achieve assigned goals.
  • Manage, build and grow assigned database of VIP guests
  • Maintain personal, direct mail and phone contact with guests to build loyalty, increase worth and frequency, as well as fill events.
  • Have knowledge of the regulations, policies, and procedures relating to the EGD (slot) and gaming floor.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales, as a host or other casino position such as VIP services, Brand Ambassador marketing, players rewards, or casino operations
  • Must be bilingual- English and French- Written and Spoken, additional languages considered an interesting asset
  • Must have a valid work permit or be a Canadian resident
  • Ability to write reports and professional business correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, VIP guests and all guests alike
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Must be flexible regarding schedule and be able to work varied shifts.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holiday.

Responsabilités:

  • Établir des relations solides avec les invités VIP assignés

  • Surveiller les habitudes de mise et les niveaux de participation des invités afin de gérer les programmes et d'assurer des marges de profit maximales, des niveaux de jeu adéquats et un contrôle des coûts approprié.
  • Participer aux efforts du centre d'appels pour inviter les invités à des événements spéciaux, des visites individuelles, des incitations et réactiver les invités et/ou obtenir des commentaires sur la satisfaction des invités.
  • Examiner tous les rapports liés au département et utiliser les données fournies pour atteindre les objectifs assignés.
  • Gérer, construire et développer la base de données des invités VIP assignés.
  • Maintenir un contact personnel, par courrier direct et par téléphone avec les invités pour renforcer la fidélité, augmenter la valeur et la fréquence des visites, ainsi que pour remplir les événements.
  • Avoir connaissance des réglementations, des politiques et des procédures relatives aux EGD (machines à sous) et au floor de jeu.
  • Autres tâches assignées.

Exigences:

  • Minimum de 2 ans d'expérience dans la vente, en tant qu'hôte ou dans un autre poste de casino tel que les services VIP, le marketing Ambassadeur de marque, les récompenses des joueurs ou les opérations de casino.
  • Doit être bilingue - Anglais et Français - Écrit et Oral, des langues supplémentaires sont considérées comme un atout intéressant.
  • Doit avoir un permis de travail valide ou être résident canadien.
