Job description

SUMMARY

This position assists in the coordination of the HCC Football team by performing all duties assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Director to the best of their ability and in a professional manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

-Attend and take part in the in-service training provided by the Head Coach.

-Be familiar with and follow the policies of Highland Community College, the NJCAA, and the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference.

-Attend all practices and home and away contests in the Football Program.

-Teach sportsmanship and set an example of good moral and physical behavior.

-Teach fundamentals, techniques, etc., as directed by the Head Coach.

-Assume responsibility of assisting the head coach, under his/her supervision, in performing assigned responsibilities.

-Assist the Head Coach with driving responsibilities as assigned.

-Be loyal to the Head Coach and his/her program.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree preferred.ย  Related experience and/or training desired.ย  Computer experiences desired.

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations

Must have a valid driver license and no major driving infractions in the past five years.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.ย  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.ย  Ability to speak effectively before groups of students, community members, and employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.ย  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.ย  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
