Tiya is a contemporary Indian fine-dining restaurant in San Francisco, known for thoughtful cuisine, elevated hospitality, and memorable guest experiences.

We are looking for a highly driven Corporate & Private Events Sales Coordinator to grow our private dining, corporate events, celebrations, and full-venue event business.

This is a sales-driven position for someone who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, closing business, and developing a strong network throughout San Francisco.

The Opportunity

Your primary responsibility will be to generate new private-event revenue for Tiya.

This is not simply an inbound event-coordination position. We are looking for someone who will actively identify opportunities, develop relationships, prospect new clients, and convert those relationships into bookings.

A successful candidate will consistently build a strong pipeline of corporate and private-event business, with a target of approximately 3–4 new qualified outbound bookings per week.

You will also oversee the events you sell, ensuring that the experience delivered matches the expectations established during the sales process.

ResponsibilitiesOutbound Sales & Business Development

• Proactively source and close new corporate dinners, private celebrations, group dining events, receptions, and full or partial restaurant buyouts.

• Build relationships with Executive Assistants, office managers, corporate event teams, HR and People teams, hotel concierges, luxury travel professionals, event planners, and destination-management companies.

• Conduct consistent outbound prospecting through email, phone, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and in-person relationship building.

• Develop partnerships with local companies, hotels, event agencies, and organizations capable of generating recurring event business.

• Maintain relationships with previous event clients to generate repeat bookings and referrals.

• Create and manage a healthy sales pipeline and consistently follow up with prospective clients.

• Meet established booking and revenue goals.

Inbound Sales

• Respond quickly and professionally to event and large-party inquiries received through Tiya's website, SevenRooms, phone, email, and other channels.

• Qualify leads, recommend appropriate event formats, prepare proposals, and guide clients through the booking process.

• Conduct venue tours and client meetings when appropriate.

• Convert qualified inquiries while protecting pricing, minimum spends, and profitability.

Standard inbound inquiries are part of the position but are not eligible for outbound sales commission unless otherwise specified under the commission program.

Event Planning & Execution

• Manage the full client journey from initial inquiry through event completion.

• Coordinate menus, beverage packages, room layouts, guest counts, timelines, audio/visual requirements, dietary restrictions, and other event details.

• Prepare proposals, contracts, deposits, and final event documentation.

• Communicate event requirements clearly with restaurant leadership, culinary teams, service teams, and vendors.

• Be present for key events when necessary to ensure flawless execution and guest satisfaction.

• Build long-term relationships with clients following successful events.

Revenue & Pipeline Management

• Track leads, proposals, follow-ups, bookings, lost business, and revenue through our CRM and event-management systems.

• Maintain accurate client records and sales activity.

• Monitor event revenue, minimum spends, pricing, and profitability.

• Provide regular updates on pipeline activity, upcoming events, conversion rates, and outbound sales performance.

• Identify opportunities to increase average event spend through enhanced food, beverage, and experience offerings.

Marketing & Partnerships

• Collaborate with the marketing and leadership teams to strengthen Tiya's private-events presence.

• Help develop event collateral, corporate outreach campaigns, testimonials, photography, and sales materials.

• Identify networking opportunities, industry events, partnerships, and referral channels that can generate new business.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in outbound sales, business development, private-event sales, hospitality sales, luxury services, catering, hotels, restaurants, or a related B2B sales environment.

• Demonstrated ability to prospect, build a pipeline, negotiate, and close business.

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales or revenue targets.

• Strong relationship-building and networking skills.

• Existing relationships within the San Francisco corporate, hospitality, hotel, concierge, or event-planning community are strongly preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple clients and events simultaneously.

• Confidence discussing pricing, minimum spends, contracts, and event packages with high-end clientele.

• Experience with CRM, reservation, or event-management platforms.

• Familiarity with SevenRooms is a plus.

• Previous restaurant, hotel, banquet, catering, or event-execution experience is strongly preferred.

You enjoy identifying opportunities, reaching out to new clients, developing relationships, following up consistently, and ultimately closing the sale.

You are equally comfortable speaking with an Executive Assistant planning a 20-person corporate dinner and an event planner considering a full restaurant buyout.

You understand that exceptional hospitality begins during the sales process and continues through the final guest experience.

Compensation

Base Pay: $30.00 per hour

Commission: Uncapped commission opportunity on qualified new outbound business personally sourced and generated by the Events Sales Coordinator.
