Summary
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Jurni Design Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer, P.E. to join our growing team in Fayetteville, Arkansas. This position is responsible for leading the design, analysis, and development of electrical systems for industrial projects, with a primary focus on food and beverage processing facilities, cold storage environments, warehousing, and distribution facilities.
The Electrical Engineer serves as the Engineer of Record (EOR) and is responsible for maintaining direct responsible charge over projects performed under their professional license. This role works closely with project managers, architects, designers, engineers, and clients to provide innovative, practical, and code-compliant electrical solutions throughout all phases of project delivery, including Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD), Construction Documents (CD), and Construction Administration (CA).
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for performing engineering calculations, developing specifications, overseeing design and drafting staff, supporting project execution, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of all electrical design deliverables.
Unlike traditional engineering firms, Jurni Design Group operates within a highly collaborative design-build environment through its partnership with C.R. Crawford Construction and Triton Design Builders. This integrated approach provides engineers with direct exposure to construction operations, project execution, and real-time collaboration with construction professionals, resulting in practical and highly constructible engineering solutions.
Additional Information
This position may require occasional travel to client sites, project locations, and permitting agencies. Site visits may be conducted independently or with other team members to gather information, review existing conditions, support ongoing projects, and participate in construction administration activities.

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license with an electrical focus required.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems, controls, lighting systems, and fire alarm systems.
  • Experience performing electrical calculations, equipment sizing, and system analysis.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD required.
  • Ability to work independently while providing leadership and mentorship to engineering and design staff.
  • Strong understanding of applicable electrical, life safety, and fire protection codes.
  • Working knowledge of architectural, structural, mechanical, and process systems as they relate to industrial facility design.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer service.

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent accredited engineering program.

Recommended Education:
  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Required Work Experience:
  • Minimum five (5) years of professional experience as an Electrical Engineer in industrial projects.
  • Experience serving as Engineer of Record (EOR) on engineering projects.

Recommended Work Experience:
  • Experience with food and beverage manufacturing facilities.
  • Experience with cold storage and refrigerated facilities.
  • Experience with warehouse, distribution, and industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting design-build project delivery methods.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Required Certifications:
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License.

Recommended Certifications:
  • NCEES Record.
  • LEED Accreditation.
