Job description

A professional driving instructor delivers curriculum to drivers in a professional manner.  DriveTeam instructors help drivers understand the rules and laws of the road, the vehicles they are driving, develop and improve their driving skills and enhance their decision-making behind the wheel.  Our instructors play a key role in developing confident and independent drivers.      

Qualifications:

·      Applicants must be over the age of 25

·      Valid driver’s license with clean driving record for the past 5 years (less than 4 pts.)

·      Applicants must be able to pass motor vehicle and criminal background checks

·      Strong communication and instructional skills

·      Teaching, coaching, law enforcement, emergency service or military experience preferred, but not required

·      A Commercial Driver License is preferred, but not required

Minimum Training Requirements (provided by DriveTeam):

·      Basic Instructor Course (8 hours)

·      Classroom Training (32 hours)

·      Behind-the-wheel Training (16 hours)

·      Instructor Assessments (4 hours)
