Job description

Job Title: Training Coordinator
Supervisor: Vice President of Human Resources
Department: Human Resources
FLSA Status: Hourly
Summary: Develop, manage, and conduct training programs that align with KCARC's mission and goals.
Essential Duties
  1. Collaborate with the leadership team to assess learning and development needs, and create customized training programs that align with company goals, state/federal compliance, and employee career progression.
  2. Coordinate and/or facilitate training sessions and workshops, ensuring that content is engaging and effective. Conduct training evaluations to measure effectiveness of learning initiatives and continuously refine programs for maximum impact.
  3. Maintain knowledge with OSHA/ISBH/ISO regulations and training requirements and assure compliance and maintain records.
  4. Serve as a CPR Instructor and ensure alternate CPR Instructors maintain Instructor certification.
  5. Serve as Chairperson for the Training Committee.
  6. Track expiration dates for retraining and compliance items as required. Coordinate trainings and renewals for all staff including Structured Family Care clients.
  7. Always maintain strictest confidentiality as related to staff and KCARC.
  8. Promote and encourage teamwork and cooperation between staff and departments in a positive and professional manner.
  9. Assist VP of HR in personnel related matters and back-up other HR staff as appropriate.
  10. Be able to walk not less than two miles daily.
  11. Search archive files as high as seven feet remove records from boxes weighing 25 pounds or more.
  12. All other duties as deemed necessary.
  13. Additional hours if needed are mandatory

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Maintain reliable transportation available for use during working hours, valid driver's license and provide proof of automobile liability coverage.

  • Detail oriented, well organized, and able to maintain confidentiality with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Necessary computer skills for the position: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; including intermediate experience level Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, preferred.
  • Proven experience in HR roles required (minimum of 2 years).

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate but occasionally loud. Use of Personal Protective Equipment such as vinyl or latex gloves is occasionally required.
