Job description

Silverado Resort, located in Napa, CA is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Golf Teaching Professional! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Compensation:
$17 - $18 per hour, plus 80/20 split on lesson commissions
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • PGA/LPGA Class A Member or PGA/LPGA Associate working towards membership
  • Must be a dedicated golf instructor with minimum 1 years related experience in golf instruction and club-fitting techniques
  • Teaching & coaching experience in all aspects of the game of golf. Preferably have experience with video analysis.
  • Must possess exceptional communication skills
  • Highly polished interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people easily and quickly
  • Must be extremely organized, efficient and detail-oriented
  • Must be highly motivated, goal driven and self-starter
  • Knowledge of the local market is a plus

Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with the Head Golf Professional and Director of Club Operations to plan and develop instruction programs that appeal to all golfer segments in the surrounding market
  • Provides golf instruction to private students and group participants as demand dictates and as needed
  • Provides teaching & coaching for our Junior Academy, Adult classes, and other Learning Center activities
  • Teaches summer camps as needed
  • Provides training and development to other instructors as directed and as needed
  • Assists in the supervision and upkeep of the practice facilities to ensure that safe, clean, organized and professional conditions exist throughout
  • Assists with junior golfer end of semester progress reports, adult practice with the pro sessions, adult play with the pro sessions, corporate clinics, off property special events, junior & adult Learning Center On-Course Events
  • Assists with Learning Center admin assignments like student activity tracker and marketing
  • Assists in keeping all teaching aids and instruction inventory in excellent condition
  • Utilizes state-of-the-art teaching and learning theories, and is able to integrate the use of training aids, video tape and club fitting into the facility's instructional programs when necessary
  • Participates in administrative duties as directed and as needed to ensure smooth operation of the golf instruction program
  • Performs some of the opening and closing duties of the instruction program as directed
  • Represents the facility in the community and with local businesses through promotional activities and program
