Mission
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization's vision is to be the flag-bearer for Tampa Bay past and future, while driving the next generation of NFL culture. The Buccaneers aim to employ individuals whose professionalism and dedication align with our vision.
Position Description
The Flag Football Development Coach will work part-time at Tampa Bay Buccaneers flag football development clinics at 60+ schools throughout Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties.
Essential Functions
  • Execution of flag football clinics, drills and stations with youth from ages 5-14
  • Collaborate with other coaches to enhance the overall Buccaneers Flag Football Development experience for youth
  • Coach flag football development students individually and in groups
  • Promote NFL Flag Football & The Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • Monitor and maintain the conduct and safety of youth participants
  • Practice and promote positive interaction with and among students
  • Use positive reinforcement and constructive criticism to maintain good athlete discipline
  • Other duties as assigned or as directed by the Sr. Manager, Community Impact

Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive flag football development plans
  • Ability to coach male and female athletes
  • Ability to assist in football station set-up and breakdown
  • Ability to plan individual skill stations and drills
  • Demonstrate the ability to adjust instruction of strategy and fundamentals to students' needs and interests
  • Ability to work well under pressure and on multiple projects
  • Excellent in communicating, engaging, and interacting with youth ages 5-14
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with others
  • Energetic, positive, hardworking, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible and capable of leading and being led
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities
  • Must be able to work flexible hours for football clinics (including weekends and nights)

Experience & Education
  • Minimum of 3 years of coaching or playing experience (professional, collegiate, interscholastic, or youth)
  • Successful prior experience with youth development

Technical Knowledge
  • Knowledge of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, NFL, NFL Flag Football, Raymond James Stadium, AdventHealth Training Center, and the Tampa Bay area

Work Environment
The Company is a professional, fast-paced, creative business environment. Other environmental conditions:
  • Extended evening, weekend work hours sometimes required
  • Stressful and demanding work environment in executing work on short deadlines
  • Sitting, standing, working with hands for extended periods of time
  • Frequently lifting of more than 50 pounds
  • Job duties require employee to work at several locations, requiring dependable transportation. Employee may have the option of driving a company vehicle (with acceptable driving record)

Physical Fitness Standards
Must be able to perform occasional physical tasks, which may include working outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat
