Job Title: Plumber

Job Description

This role provides skilled plumbing support for installation work on a large, long-term construction project at a major hospital facility in Columbus, Ohio. You will focus primarily on medical gas systems, working with copper and stainless steel piping and performing brazing to support critical healthcare infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Install and assemble medical gas piping systems throughout a large hospital construction project.
  • Run and fit copper and stainless steel pipe according to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Perform high-quality brazing on piping systems to ensure safe, reliable, and leak-free installations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and piping schematics to plan and execute plumbing installations.
  • Use basic hand tools and provided power tools safely and effectively to complete daily tasks.
  • Collaborate with other trades and construction team members to coordinate work and maintain project timelines.
  • Follow all OSHA 10 safety guidelines and site-specific safety protocols while working on an active construction site.
  • Operate lifts and other approved equipment when certified, to access elevated work areas as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly store tools and materials at the end of each shift.
  • Wear appropriate PPE, including a type 2 hard hat and other standard safety gear, at all times on site.
  • Work Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with regular Saturday work as needed to support project progress.
  • Support the successful completion of a multi-year hospital construction project by delivering consistent, high-quality plumbing installations.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in construction plumbing, including installation work on large commercial or institutional projects.
  • Hands-on experience working with stainless steel piping in a construction or mechanical environment.
  • Hands-on experience working with copper piping, including cutting, fitting, and installation.
  • Proficiency in brazing techniques for copper and stainless steel pipe used in medical gas and mechanical systems.
