Job Description

AZZ Inc. is seeking a talented and driven Communications Specialist to join our team. This mid-level role is responsible for developing and executing internal and external communications that strengthens employee engagement, enhances brand reputation, and supports key business initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic communicator with exceptional writing skills, strong project management abilities, and experience collaborating across multiple business functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, edit, and distribute internal communications, including employee announcements, newsletters, executive messages, and organizational updates.
  • Create compelling external communications, including press releases, website content, social media posts, customer communications, and marketing collateral.
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to communicate strategic initiatives, organizational changes, and company achievements.
  • Maintain editorial calendars and manage communication projects from concept through execution.
  • Ensure all communications align with AZZ's brand standards, messaging, and corporate voice.
  • Support media relations efforts by preparing press materials and coordinating responses as needed.
  • Assist with planning and promoting corporate events, employee engagement initiatives, and community outreach activities.
  • Monitor communication effectiveness and recommend improvements using engagement metrics and feedback.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Human Resources, Investor Relations, and other departments to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Stay current on communication trends, best practices, and emerging digital communication tools.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of professional communications, public relations, or corporate communications experience.
  • Exceptional written, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience developing content for multiple communication channels and audiences.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
