Job description

Location: North Bay Area
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $25 - $35, per hour + bonus eligible and benefits

We’re looking for an experienced Climber to join our tree care team. In this role, you’ll perform technical tree climbing, rigging, and safe removal or trimming of trees of all sizes. You’ll work closely with a crew, use industry‑standard climbing techniques, and help deliver high‑quality, safe, and efficient tree care services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pre‑climb tree risk inspections
  • Use approved climbing techniques, gear, and basic rigging systems
  • Move throughout the canopy without climbing spurs or supervision
  • Make proper cuts aloft while following all safety standards
  • Safely operate hand and power tools while in the tree
  • Maintain a positive, team‑focused attitude throughout the workday
  • Complete daily tree care tasks within your skill level
  • Follow all safety guidelines — safety is our #1 priority
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of professional tree‑climbing experience
  • Passion for tree work and serving customers
  • Strong teamwork mindset
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds
  • Willing to work weekends and overtime
  • Open to travel assignments
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Must be at least 18 years of age for general employment
  • Must be 21 years of age to drive company vehicles
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check
