Job description

Empower Construction Texas, Inc. is actively seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Technician/Carpenter Apprentice to join our North Carolina team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or continue a career in commercial construction and facilities maintenance. We are willing to train the right individual who has a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Learn and develop skills in carpentry, drywall, trim, tile, and general maintenance repairs.
  2. Assist with construction and facility projects while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  3. Follow company safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
  4. Work alongside experienced team members and subcontractors to complete projects efficiently.
  5. Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude.
  6. Arrive on time and ready to work every shift.
  7. Continuously learn new skills and take pride in your workmanship.
  8. Maintain company standards and represent Empower Construction professionally.


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  1. Previous construction, maintenance, or carpentry experience is preferred but not required.
  2. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus.
  3. Willingness to learn carpentry, drywall, tile, minor electrical, and plumbing repairs.
  4. Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
  5. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  6. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  7. Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
  8. Good communication and time management skills.
  9. Professional appearance and demeanor.
  10. Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed.
  11. Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.


HOURS, WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This is a full-time position with opportunities for overtime. Working hours vary by project, but generally the schedule is:


Tuesday through Saturday: 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM

1. Must be available to work occasional Sundays.

2. This position requires travel to job sites throughout the Raleigh-Durham area and surrounding communities.

3. The role involves standing, walking, bending, squatting, climbing and lifting throughout the shift.
