Job description

Our Tallahassee, Florida office is currently seeking a full-time Senior Architect to assist our Tallahassee Office Leader to lead and manage projects and a team of designers. The ideal candidate will oversee the entire project life cycle, from concept through design, documentation, and construction phase services. You will be responsible for managing personnel involved at various stages of the project and showcase strong design and technical abilities, creating high-quality documents and facilitating a process for successful project deliveries.

Responsibilities

Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.

Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, accessibility standards, and sustainability requirements.

Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service.

Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients.

Monitor project progress and proactively address design, technical, and construction challenges.

Support construction administration activities, including site visits and responding to RFIs and submittals.

Mentor and supervise architects, designers, and junior staff.

Assist the Tallahassee Office Leader with client presentations, proposals, hiring and training of studio staff.


Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.

Minimum 10 years' experience in a professional firm.

Professional Architect License/Registration required.

Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Lumion, and more.

Strong technical expertise related to design and construction.

Preferred:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management/project architect role.

Prior leadership experience managing a team of architectural designers.

Experience working on variety scale of multiple projects.

Strong business development and client management skills.

Prior work experience in education, multi-family, medical and hospitality sectors.

Compensation will be determined based on years of professional experience, licensure and credentials, specific expertise, ability to manage team members, client-facing skills, and complexity of past projects completed.
