As a Product Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for the portfolio of Service Brass products and overseeing the entire product lifecycle from ideation, through development, introduction, growth, maturity, decline and end-of-life to meet customer needs and business goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Gather and assimilate information on the market, the customer and the problem customers have that we're trying to solve from all product stakeholders including corporate (strategic business objectives), pre-sales (client needs, tender specifications), marketing (competitors, launch plan, promoting the product), sales (client needs, go-to-market, pricing), development/engineering/QA/testing (technical specification, technical possibilities), supply chain/manufacturing/operations (execution)
  • Formulate and maintain product strategies and roadmaps for new and existing products, exploring adjacent market opportunities to drive growth and maintain market share. Ensure alignment with stakeholder input and support.
  • Review and respond to product suggestions that are submitted.
  • Define product functional, cost and quality requirements in Market Requirement Documents (MRD) based on customer needs and business objectives, for both new and existing products, ensuring review and input by stakeholders.
  • Manage and present product development through NPD stage gates 1 and 2, ensuring that ServiceNow is up-to-date, and all required documentation is completed; hand off to the appropriate project manager for gates 3 and beyond where one is assigned, otherwise manage product development through all stage gates.
  • Collaborate with and advocate for projects with production, R&D, and development/software engineering groups to ensure that adequate engineering resources are allocated for priority product management projects.
  • Provide ongoing product clarification and updates on requirements to engineering teams, revising documentation (MRD, etc.) as appropriate.
  • Work with product marketing and sales to ensure proper client and sales documentation and training are in place to meet commercialization objectives.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success for both new and existing products, such as financial and customer and market trends.
  • Develop pricing strategies and ensure product profitability for both new and existing products, setting product pricing and ensuring this is approved and communicated as required.
  • Advocate for the product vision and its progress, both internally and externally.
  • Support sales efforts as needed to drive sales product success including but not limited to: driving customer lists, arranging/supporting customer trainings both onsite and in the field, providing product demonstrations, providing onsite troubleshooting.
  • Serve as third-line technical support for products when required, assisting the technical support team in becoming self-sufficient.

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with an ability to assimilate and synthesize large amounts of information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proven track record of launching successful products
  • Intermediate computer skills including the use of Office Suite and especially Excel and Outlook
  • Comfortable developing skills in coaching, developing, and holding others accountable
  • Must be willing to travel up to 35% of the year depending on supported location(s).

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Business, Marketing, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, within a manufacturing market or water industry
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Understanding or experience of quality and manufacturing where hardware is involved
