COMPANY OVERVIEW: Eagle Beverage is a fast-growing specialty beverage and straw manufacturer in Kent, WA, focusing on private label syrups, cocktail mixers and powders. Manufacturing since 1972 the company has over 500 SKUs of products and is looking for dynamic, energetic and committed Straw Production Supervisors.

MISSION STATEMENT: We strive to operate the straw production department in a manner to meet and exceed SQF level 2 audit standards thereby serving our customers with excellent quality products and ensuring that all items are produced with the highest regard for Food Safety.

GENERAL SCOPE: Production Support Supervisor is responsible for executing the Company's Food Safety Programs and maintaining the Company's SQF Certification in the Straw Area. In addition, he/she will be responsible for monitoring the production floor and ensuring all lines are efficiently operating.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Production Responsibilities

  • Monitor production lines and floor to ensure entire work area is neat, clean, and Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Manage production personnel over various shifts
  • Manage crew levels – Call in necessary employees when needed for call outs and/or other absences to maintain necessary production levels.
  • Manage production levels and equipment mix to maintain our required customer inventory levels.
  • Record, report, and manage production metrics and output for each production line and Operator Specialist.
  • Monitor equipment downtime, investigate, and report to management.
  • Analyze all downtime for root causes, implement fixes/solutions to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
  • Direct production lines operator specialists and track performance by production benchmarks – Place training steps in place for those who do not meet our performance benchmarks to improve production – Recognize and reward those who exceed our expectations
  • Report all maintenance issues and needs to management & maintenance personnel.
  • Manage raw materials silo area
  • Mix various resin color mixtures according to Color Formulation worksheet for different customer production runs as needed.
  • Perform new employee orientations and walk through for scheduled training shifts.
  • Set up bio-metric (finger) scan for Isolved HR management system for all new employees.
  • Receive and Bin Transfer finished goods for all items produced using handheld bar code scanners.
  • Ensures all items for the WIP area are pulled, staged and set out for the next shift.
  • Assist the Production Manager in ensuring that all production goals are met to the set expectations and standards from senior leadership.
  • Monitor floor production and correct potential safety hazards.
  • Inventory planning and management.
  • Manage time through Isolved HR Management System.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Experience:
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a similar leadership role preferably for a food/consumer products company.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively under limited supervision.
  • Prior experience with business systems (Dynamics GP preferred).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Comfort with taking direction and constructive coaching.
  • Authorized to work in the US.
