Job description

Job Title

Production Scheduler – Rubber Injection Molding

Position Summary

The Production Scheduler creates and manages daily production schedules to

maximize plant efficiency. You will balance machine capacity, labor capacity, tooling

availability, and raw rubber compounds and inserts to meet customer delivery dates.

Key Responsibilities

 Develop Schedules: Create daily production schedules for all rubber injection

molding presses as well as inspection and assembly department.

 Manage Inventory: Monitor raw rubber compounds, inserts, and packaging

materials to prevent stockouts.

 Coordinate Tooling: Align schedules with the tooling department for mold

changes and maintenance.

 Optimize Changeovers: Sequence jobs to minimize mold changes and maximize

uptime.

 Track Metrics: Monitor schedule adherence, machine downtime, and labor

utilization rates.

 Problem Solve: Adjust schedules quickly when machines break down or material

delivery delays occur.

 Collaborate: Work closely with production supervisors, shipping, and customer

service teams.

Required Qualifications

 Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of manufacturing scheduling experience.

Experience in rubber molding or automotive manufacturing is a bonus.

 Technical Skills: Experience with ERP/MRP software (e.g., Plex, SAP, IQMS) and

advanced Microsoft Excel is a plus. The ability to learn and become proficient

with ERP/MRP software is required.

 Knowledge: Strong understanding of cycle times, scrap rates, and manufacturing

capacity planning.

Key Skills Competencies

 Analytical: Ability to solve complex scheduling problems with multiple variables.

 Communication: Clear verbal and written skills to coordinate between office and

shop floor teams.

 Adaptability: High stress tolerance and flexibility to handle frequent priority

shifts.
