Job description

Position Overview:

The Production Supervisor will lead a team of direct labor employees that add value to our products for our customers. This position will be responsible for ensuring safety, upholding quality, and meeting daily/weekly production targets.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ensure a safe work environment for all manufacturing employees

· Know and execute the daily production schedule

· Deploy available resources effectively to meet production targets

· Enforce the required pace of work to meet production targets

· Ensure quality standards are met in all manufacturing processes

· Constantly monitor production lines, triage any situations impacting production flow

· Approve DL timecards and ensure all people were clocked into the appropriate area

· Disposition manufacturing scrap/rework and arrange for removing materials

· Translate daily production goals into hourly production goals

· Record hourly production in approved format

· Report issues impacting production to Production Manager

· Work closely with other Supervisors and Management for consistent decision making

Personal Qualifications:

· Ability to manage a diverse group of employees, distribute as needed for efficiency

· Ability to delegate responsibilities and drive accountability appropriately

· Ability to carry out disciplinary actions as needed in a consistent manner

· Must be able to maintain excellent attendance record

· Good written and verbal communication

· Root cause and problem-solving skills

· Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)

· High level of organizational abilities and time management skills

Educational/Experience Requirements:

· High school diploma required, College degree preferred

· 2-Years Supervisor role or relevant similar experience
