Job description


Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Must be able to read tape measures and other measuring devices.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Familiarity or understanding of the functions and safe operations of various cranes.
  • Incumbent will be required to achieve CCO Certification after obtaining Test Operator position as business conditions allow for training.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Use laptop to download programs, set parameters and delete error codes.
  • Work with senior Test Operators and Journey Test Operators to become competent in the understanding of Test Documents including but not limited to load charts, load test papers, log book requirements, etc. as per Company policy; as well as the understanding and demonstration of crane and rigging symbols and signals.
  • Successfully complete required software training for a wide range of Manitowoc Crane products.
  • Successfully complete all safety training required by time constraints set by governmental regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervision.

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
This position will be required to work outside at least 80% of the time, in various weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use tools or controls. The employee is frequently required to stand, reach, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. There is frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds. Incumbent must be willing to work at various heights.
Education & Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • 1 year experience operating heavy equipment preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
