What is a production tech?

Production Techs, short for Production Technicians, are professionals who support manufacturing and production processes in factories and industrial settings. Their duties typically include operating machinery, monitoring equipment, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring products meet quality standards. They play a critical role in keeping production lines running efficiently and safely. Production Techs may also be involved in troubleshooting equipment issues and following strict safety protocols. The specific responsibilities can vary depending on the industry and company.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a production tech, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Production Tech, you need a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and safety protocols, often supported by a high school diploma or technical certification.
