Their duties typically include operating machinery, monitoring equipment, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring products meet quality standards. They play a critical role in keeping production lines running efficiently and safely. Production Techs may also be involved in troubleshooting equipment issues and following strict safety protocols. The specific responsibilities can vary depending on the industry and company.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a production tech, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Production Tech, you need a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and safety protocols, often supported by a high school diploma or technical certification. Familiarity with machinery, computer-controlled systems, and production software like ERP or MES is typically required. These abilities are crucial for maintaining quality, minimizing downtime, and ensuring efficient production workflows.

Job description

Our client is one of the fastest-growing premium cannabis companies in the nation — built on honesty, simplicity, and transparency, and obsessed with creating products people genuinely love. Now they're looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Production Technician to help power their pre-roll production line and keep daily operations running like clockwork.
If you like staying busy, take pride in doing things right, and want a foothold in one of the fastest-moving industries around, this role is built for you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Get hands-on with pre-roll production — prepping, weighing, staging, assembling, packing, and labeling product every day.
  • Keep the lab running smoothly with general production support and material handling.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production floor.
  • Accurately log production data and support track-and-trace recordkeeping.
  • Spot-check quality along the way and flag any issues to leadership before they become problems.
  • Help keep the site audit-ready and inspection-ready, every single day.
  • Jump in wherever the team needs you to hit daily production goals.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • High school diploma.
  • 1+ year of experience in cannabis production, lab work, or manufacturing (preferred, not required).
  • Sharp attention to detail and dependable recordkeeping.
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine team-player mindset.
  • The organizational chops to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A track record of following SOPs and safety procedures without cutting corners.
  • Comfort with basic math, weighing, and measuring.
  • Working knowledge of Google Sheets.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet for repetitive tasks.
  • 21 years or older and eligible to work in the cannabis industry.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT HERE
  • Join one of the fastest-growing premium cannabis brands in the country.
  • Real, hands-on experience in a booming, high-demand industry.
  • A culture built on honesty, simplicity, and transparency — not just buzzwords.
  • A tight-knit team that takes quality, safety, and craftsmanship seriously.
  • Room to grow as our client's production footprint keeps expanding.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You'll report directly to the Laboratory Supervisor and partner closely with the Production Lead, Lab Lead, and the wider lab team — taking daily direction and helping keep pre-roll production and site operations on track.
READY TO ROLL?
Apply today and help our client build the future of premium cannabis — one perfectly rolled product at a time.
