Production Supervisor
Location: Middlebury, IN
Job Type: Full-Time, Salary
Hours: 4 AM - 4 PM Monday-Thursday, occasional Fridays as required.
Position Summary
Essenhaus Foods is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations for our egg noodle production facility. This position is responsible for leading production employees, ensuring safe and efficient operations, maintaining product quality, and meeting daily production goals.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support production employees throughout the shift.
  • Coordinate daily production activities to meet production schedules.
  • Perform production line startup and shutdown procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, GMP, and safety standards.
  • Monitor production performance, product quality, and equipment operation.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and coordinate repairs with Maintenance.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate production employees.
  • Complete production documentation, including production records, downtime, and scrap.
  • Promote a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Management to ensure efficient operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Food manufacturing or SQF/HACCP experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
