Position Overview: 

The Project Manager provides project management and operational support for a federally funded program, working across multidisciplinary teams to support successful planning, execution, and evaluation of program activities. This role is responsible for coordinating project priorities, schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables while maintaining alignment across leadership, stakeholders, and subject matter experts. The Project Manager also supports Agile program management, change management, data analysis, and strategic communications activities to help drive effective implementation and informed decision-making. The position will develop executive-level reporting and briefings, monitor program performance, and translate project information and data into clear, actionable insights for program leadership. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate project management activities supporting the planning, execution, and evaluation of pilot program initiatives, ensuring alignment with program objectives, timelines, milestones, and deliverables. 

  • Manage project schedules, priorities, risks, issues, dependencies, and action items while coordinating across leadership, project teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to drive successful execution. 

  • Support Agile program management and change management activities, including planning, stakeholder engagement, organizational readiness, implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement efforts. 

  • Conduct and support data analysis to monitor program performance, evaluate key metrics and trends, and translate findings into actionable insights and recommendations for program leadership. 

  • Develop executive-level reports, dashboards, presentations, and briefings that clearly communicate program status, performance, accomplishments, risks, and strategic recommendations. 

  • Support strategic communications and stakeholder engagement activities to ensure consistent messaging, facilitate informed decision-making, and maintain alignment across program teams and leadership. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Project Management, Management, or a related field. 

  • Minimum of four (4) years of professional project management experience, including experience planning, coordinating, and executing projects from initiation through completion. 

  • Possess an active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). 

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to coordinate project activities, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with project objectives, timelines, and priorities.  

  • Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or similar platforms to manage project schedules, milestones, tasks, dependencies, and deliverables. 

  • Experience developing project plans, schedules, status reports, dashboards, and other project management artifacts to support project execution and performance monitoring. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Management, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.  

  • Five (5) or more years of professional experience in a project management environment, supporting the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of complex projects or initiatives.  

  • Experience working directly with federal government clients, preferably supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), or other federal healthcare agencies.  

  • Demonstrated experience leading projects, workstreams, or cross-functional teams, including coordinating project activities, managing priorities, and driving deliverables through completion.  

  • Experience developing executive-level reports, dashboards, presentations, and briefings that clearly communicate project status, performance, risks, issues, milestones, and recommendations to senior leadership.  

  • Experience facilitating project meetings, stakeholder discussions, and leadership briefings, including documenting decisions, action items, and follow-up activities.
