The Project Manager at Koniag Government Services plays a critical role in leading and managing large and complex projects, ensuring successful delivery while navigating challenges and leveraging innovative solutions. With a strong background in project management, technical expertise, and leadership skills, the ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, from planning and resource allocation to risk management and stakeholder communication.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
The Project Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:
* Oversee all aspects of large projects or significant segments of large and complex projects, providing leadership and direction to project teams.
* Analyze new and complex project-related problems, creating innovative solutions that involve schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management of the project.
* Provide applications systems analysis and develop long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities to ensure necessary support resources are in place.
* Lead and manage a group of engineers, overseeing the full ADP (Automated Data Processing) life cycle in software engineering for a minimum of two years.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers and internal teams, to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and effectively communicated.
* Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and risk management strategies, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
* Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
* Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and budgets, to ensure efficient utilization and optimal project performance.
* Provide regular project status updates and reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
* Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
* Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
* Ability to obtain a Public Trust
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Minimum of eight (8) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
* Must possess two (2) years of task leader experience managing a group of engineers and the full ADP life cycle in software engineering.
* Level III (CR03) experience, typically overseeing all aspects of the project, leading a team on large projects or a significant segment of large and complex projects.
* Proven project management skills, including proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
* Strong technical background and expertise in software engineering, systems development, and application maintenance.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with the ability to create innovative solutions to complex project challenges.
^ Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
* Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to project management and software development.
