What You'll Do:
  • Maintains staff by orienting and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Accomplishes staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; conducting training; implementing & enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards, adhering to legal regulations.
  • Completes operations by developing schedules; assigning and monitoring work; gathering resources; implementing productivity standards; resolving operations problems; maintaining reference manuals; implementing new procedures.
  • Provides quality service by enforcing quality, customer service standards, participate in submitting quality improvements.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing procedures, specifications, MI's and Field manuals.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Accomplishes department objectives by organizing and monitoring work process.
  • Input Data into KRONOS, Rail RX, TRACS, MS Office and Excel
  • Monitoring employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Conduct annual reviews for staff performance.
  • Knowledgeable in Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Labor Analysis, 5s, 8 wastes and changeover reduction.
  • Implements methods and modifications to reduce/improve production costs. Propose and implement Cost Reduction initiatives that simplify manufacturing processes and increase plant profits.
  • Collaborate with Lean and Continuous improvement teams at plant during Kaizen events or Value Stream Mapping activities.

What You'll Need:
  • Experience with interpreting and enforcing company policies and legal guidelines of the field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
  • Must be self-managed and have the ability to lead, inspire and motivate teams.
  • Associate degree or equivalent education preferred.
  • 5 years Supervision experience
  • Lean concepts, Kaizen events and continuous improvement experience preferred.
  • Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering Preferred.
