Job description


Work as part of a highly technical Engineering and Manufacturing team as Production Manager. Be the senior interface between Engineering and Production, where you will manage a team of Technical Assemblers. This dynamic role calls for a proactive, energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about optimizing production workflows.
A major responsibility of this position is the administration, optimization, and day-to-day management of the company's ERP system, including production planning, inventory management, purchasing workflows, and operational reporting. Other key tasks include:
Production Operations Management
  • Plan, organize, and oversee daily manufacturing operations to meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

ERP System Administration
  • Serve as the primary operational owner and subject matter expert for the ERP platform.
  • Manage production orders, work orders, inventory transactions, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across manufacturing, inventory, purchasing, and warehouse modules.
  • Train employees on Odoo processes and ensure compliance with established procedures.

Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure alignment between physical inventory and ERP system data.
  • Develop inventory control procedures to minimize stock discrepancies and inventory carrying costs.

Engineering and Manufacturing Coordination
  • Collaborate with Engineering to ensure accurate product configurations, BOMs, revisions, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities and transition designs into production.
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure manufacturability and operational efficiency.

Quality and Continuous Improvement
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Analyze production metrics and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices within a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, and follow assembly instruction, verify drawings and equipment layouts
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with the Engineering Team while multi-tasking between the requirements and deadlines of multiple projects
  • ISO9001 or AS9100 QMS experience.

  • IPC J-STD-001 experience
  • Experience with CAD / 3D modeling software
