Job Title:
Production Planning Specialist / PMC Coordinator

Overview:
The Production Planning Specialist / PMC Coordinator supports production scheduling, sales order alignment, cell and power allocation, material and BOM readiness, rework planning, inventory follow-up, and cross-functional coordination. This role helps ensure that customer demand, production capacity, material availability, actual output, finished goods inventory, and shipment plans are properly aligned while reducing shortages, overproduction, obsolete inventory, and delivery risks.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining production schedules based on sales orders, Goods Ready Dates, capacity, material status, and shipment priorities.
  • Follow production orders through completion and support timely order fulfillment.
  • Track cell efficiency, module power output, and sales order wattage requirements to support proper cell and customer demand matching.
  • Identify and escalate risks related to power shortage, high-efficiency cell usage, order structure mismatch, and output-versus-demand gaps.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Planning teams regarding demand adjustments and order risks.
  • Verify readiness of key materials, including glass, frame, EVA/POE, junction box, silicone, labels, and packaging.
  • Review BOM readiness and identify potential changeover risks.
  • Coordinate rework planning for customer inspection rework, damaged module rework, downgrade rework, and other special rework cases.
  • Track rework quantity, priority, MO status, production progress, warehouse movement, and shipment readiness.
  • Monitor full pallets, partial pallets, multi-label inventory, overproduction, and special stock.
  • Support stock conversion, inventory consumption, and shipment planning.
  • Compare SAP, MES, and WMS inventory/output data and escalate discrepancies between system records and actual stock.
  • Work closely with Sales, Production, Warehouse, Material Control, Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams to close open issues and reduce execution risks.
  • Maintain reports related to production status, inventory, GRD, rework progress, and order fulfillment.
  • Support SOP development, planning accuracy improvement, and process improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, manufacturing coordination, inventory control, or a related function preferred.
  • Solar or manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong Excel skills required.
  • Experience with SAP, MES, WMS, ERP, or production planning systems preferred.
  • Strong data analysis, problem identification, cross-functional communication, and follow-up skills.
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual English / Chinese communication skills preferred.
  • Core competencies include production planning coordination, order fulfillment follow-up, inventory control, material readiness tracking, data analysis, risk escalation, cross-functional communication, ownership, and follow-through.

Place of Job in the Organizational Structure:
This position reports to the PMC Manager / Master Planner and works closely with Sales, Production, Warehouse, Material Control, Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams. The role is based at the Jacksonville, FL manufacturing site and serves as a key coordination point between production planning, material readiness, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
