We’re looking for a Demand Planning Manager to join our growing team in West Henrietta, NY!

The Position:
Our Master Scheduler will report to The Director of Purchasing & Supply Chain. You will work cross functionally between the Sales Administration team and the Purchasing and Production Teams to ensure customer orders are managed and understand the impact on the business. You'll work with the production and purchasing team to drive execution based on the strategic business plan and S&OP. Also, you will be responsible for managing demand planning within the ERP to drive systematic execution and efficiency across the business line globally.


The Day to Day:

  • ​​Drive the S&OP process and work with Sales to assess opportunities and risks 
  • ​Develop Master Production Schedule and adjust based on S&OP and other input 
  • ​Prepare the data for S&OP and use this data to create forecasts.  
  • ​Manage demand planning in ERP system and monitor for accuracy 
  • ​Work with Production Planner on the scheduling of new customer orders and communicate this to Sales Admin 
  • ​Meet with Sales Administration/Sales Team for order rescheduling requests and provide detailed response for new ship dates to maintain the ERP system. 
  • ​Coordinate with Production and Supply Chain teams to help identify issues for order reschedules and order execution 
  • ​Implement planning strategies to improve Customer OTD and maximum efficiency​ 


What you Bring to Safran:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8 + years prior experience in materials management, or materials and production planning
  • Experience and knowledge of running S&OP meeting monthly, setting up Demand Planning in ERP systems, Strong Knowledge of MRP
  • Understanding of production plans and use of rough-cut capacity planning
  • Supply Chain certification preferred (APICS, ISM or CPSM)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, planning tools, Power BI dashboard development, and interested in web development.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, work independently, and document work effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Solid understanding of business operations and supply chain processes.
