Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Production Planner to support production operations within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating customer requirements, managing short-term production schedules, and ensuring efficient communication between production, procurement, warehouse, and sales teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, advanced Excel capabilities, ERP system experience, and prior manufacturing planning experience in the food or beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, coordinate, and organize customer requirements for production lines.
  • Manage short-term production planning and scheduling for slicing operations.
  • Communicate and commit product availability dates to internal teams.
  • Keep Procurement informed of sudden demand changes and material needs.
  • Identify customer ordering patterns and alert the sales team to discrepancies in order frequency or demand.
  • Support the resolution of production disruptions and productivity challenges.
  • Coordinate production operations based on material, labor, and equipment availability.
  • Meet daily with key stakeholders to review upcoming orders and identify potential production risks.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and purchasing teams regarding material shortages and inventory concerns.
