Salary Range: $55,000.00 To $65,000.00 Annually

REPORTS TO: Production Planning Manager

DEPARTMENT:Production

BASIC FUNCTION:

Actively analyze, monitor, and maintain MRP inputs and outputs to provide applicable stocking work orders to the shop floor. Tracks the work being performed and closes the work order when the work is complete.

GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain JDE branch record settings to ensure actionable and accurate MRP messages.
  • Analyze and action on stocking MRP messages to generate work orders dated based on material availability and shop floor capacity.
  • Enter, track, and maintain stock transfer orders.
  • Review, redate, and transfer orders
  • Ensure that proper work order inventory controls are being followed including backflushed, issued, and serialized inventory.
  • Plan and control finished goods inventory for stock and customer orders by demonstrating complete ownership and accountability for all assigned products.
  • Make decisions on work order quantities and dates for products based on MRP and supply and demand data.
  • Monitor work orders that have already been placed and ensure that expectations in the system match expectations on the shop floor.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a planning/scheduling environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan a variety of products of a complex nature.
  • Thorough knowledge of MRP and other inventory planning techniques, including a good understanding of purchasing fundamentals. JDE experience a plus.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and PC skills including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to frequently walk and sit 7+ hours a day.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to learn, understand and explain our technical products.
  • Interact with others in a focused, positive, courteous, respectful, and professional business-like manner.
  • Regular attendance is an essential element of the job. Unplanned absences have the potential to impair the operation of the department and diminish effectiveness of the company.
