A Production Planner supports the Master Scheduler to convert the monthly production plan provided by the Master Scheduler into SAP process orders. This role works collaboratively across the plant planning team, located at our Florence, Kentucky site, this role reports to the Planning Manager and works with other site Production Planners and Buyers.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

A Production Planner is responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Collaborates with the plant Master Scheduler to update/publish weekly and daily schedule in SAP.

  • Leads daily production meeting to ensure production has all up to date info and both production and planning teams can make adjustments to daily priorities as needed.

  • Partners with master data teams to ensure current Florence Bills of Materials for finished goods are up to date and request corrections as error messages occur.

  • Works closely with SAP clerks and production team to ensure old process orders are turned in and closed in a timely manner.

  • Ensuring batch assignment report saves properly along with the release and printing of all process orders for production team.

  • Printing SAP product labels for production team.

  • Assisting production teams with pallet tag printing errors.

  • Completes SAP downloads including

    • Reconciles/corrects discrepancies vs. daily production

    • Reconciles open STO reports

    • Open process order reports

  • Participates in periodic raw and finished goods material inventories

  • Maintains production-related records and ensures the confidentiality of all data

  • Working closely with Master Scheduler to learn how to pull and read MRP demand reports, B/O reports, correct master data settings, etc.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma

  • At least 1 year of related work experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Highly Preferred

    • Associate's degree in Supply Chain or business related degree

    • Proficiency with Tableau and/or SAP

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

A Production Planner is required to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Follow all safety requirements including wearing the appropriate PPE (contact lenses prohibited on the production floor)

  • Sits in front of a computer in an office setting for prolonged periods of time

  • Moves around production floor as needed

  • Lifts up to 25 pounds

  • Strong quantitative ability and comfort with data driven decision processes

  • Possesses excellent interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational, prioritization & planning skills with close attention to detail

  • Accommodates shifting priorities in a fast paced environment as well as excellent problem-solving skills focusing on continuous improvement

  • Work on different times/ shifts based on business needs

The expected compensation range for this position is between $52,760.00 and $77,374.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
