Job Title: Production Operator II
Type: Temp to Hire
Pay: $16/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7am-3:30pm
Location: Twinsburg
Summary:
The Production Operator II is responsible for operating and optimizing production equipment to ensure efficient and quality-focused production processes. This role requires a strong understanding of production machinery, materials, and quality control standards. The ideal candidate will effectively analyze and resolve moderate production issues, perform quality inspections, and assist in training new team members. Additionally, the role involves monitoring production metrics, adapting to changing production demands, and applying Lean Manufacturing principles.
Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment to optimize output and efficiency.
  • Analyze and resolve intermediate-level production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and effectively address any deviations or discrepancies.
  • Train and mentor new production operators on standard operating procedures and company processes.
  • Utilize data collection tools to track, monitor, and report production performance and metrics.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adapt efficiently to shifting production priorities, schedules, and operational demands.
  • Conduct performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and setting goals for team members.
  • Train operators on machine operation, safety protocols, and process standards.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of the first piece produced to verify it meets quality standards.
  • Communicate adjustments needed to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to address any deviations from specifications.
  • Others duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English.
  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in operating production equipment and machinery.
  • Experience in quality control and issue resolution within a production setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical training or certification
Normal Working Hours and Conditions: Core business hours are generally 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. However, this position may require work to be performed outside of normal business hours based on Company operations.
Physical Requirements: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a manufacturing setting including verbally communicating, seeing and hearing to exchange information and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard. Daily physical functions include standing, sitting and walking for prolonged periods of time and occasionally stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting. The employee may engage in lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling light to moderate amounts of weight up to 50 pounds. The position also requires the operation of office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement.
