POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Operator II is responsible for performing a variety of manual, semi-automated or automated tasks necessary for the manufacturing of sub-assemblies and/or final product. The Production Operator II is responsible for maintaining productivity, quality, on-time delivery and safety of self and co-workers. This position operates under minimal guidance from management or senior staff. The Production Operator II ensures ProMedโ€™s brand, philosophy, systems, policies, and procedures are properly implemented and observed.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Follows manufacturing procedures, including documentation of product traceability;
  • Operates the required manufacturing equipment in a safe and efficient manner using designated tools;
  • Meets established production standards;
  • Completes assembly-related tasks like gluing, heat-shrinking, and resistance welding;
  • Supports research and development projects, as needed;
  • Performs press setups, as required;
  • Reads, comprehends and performs duties as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP);
  • Follows all start up and shut down procedures;
  • Perform batch record review, according to established procedures
  • May provide temporary support to other production teams as business needs demand;
  • Meets expectations of regular, reliable attendance;
  • Other Duties As Needed: Any other duties and tasks as deemed necessary and appropriate.

QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; A minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing
  • Technical aptitude;
  • Fine motor skills in hands/wrist and good hand/eye coordination;
  • Good vision (with or without corrective lenses);
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend written and verbal instructions in English;
  • Clean room component or device level manufacturing experience;
  • Proficient in using a microscope/reticle;
  • Ability to perform secondary operations including, but not limited to washing, packaging, tumbling, post curing of components;
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time;
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and priorities;

Preferred:

  • Experience in thermoplastic or silicone molding and inspection;
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 (current) Standards.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Exposure to heated/air conditioned, ventilated facilities with fluorescent lighting;

While performing the duties of this job:

  • Employee may use computers, overhead projectors, TV, VCR, and other work-related equipment, which may require an approximately 25+ pound force to push or pull equipment;
  • It is necessary to grasp and manipulate pens, markers, scissors, staplers, etc. occasionally to frequently.
  • Employee must see and hear on a continuous basis as well as speak frequently;
  • Position varies from standing, sitting, walking, etc. On some occasions it may be necessary to move quickly, run, etc. over smooth or uneven surfaces.
