We are looking for a production operator to join our team in Calgary!

The production operator purpose is to transfer incoming raw product from tanker trucks and operate specialized equipment to further process the raw material into a dried finished product under strict guidelines that is packaged for shipment.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Unloading of animal blood with the use of hoses and pumps;

  • Lab testing of incoming animal blood to ensure that it meets operational guide lines;

  • Prepare and clean the tanker using an automated and manual washing system;

  • Separation, Concentration and Drying of raw product;

  • Bagging of finished product in powder format, while wearing protective mask.

  • Carrying and pilling 25 kg (55 lbs) bags of finished products or chemicals.

  • Operate specialised equipment to further process the finished product for shipment.

  • Follow samples procedures for third party lab tests.

  • Clean any process spill (animal blood and similar product)

  • Monitor and record process data on a computer

  • Documentation: maintain all required documentation related to their duties.

  • House Keeping: Clean equipment and floors are per process and house keeping rules.

Qualifications:

  • Grade twelve education or equivalent

  • Previous experience as an equipment operator

  • Knowledge in HACCP

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision

  • Work in a multi-cultural team environment

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to communicate in English

Physical requirements:

  • Standing for extended periods of time

  • Ability to lift 55 Lbs repetitively

  • Be in good physical condition
