Operations Manager

Nolte Precise Manufacturing | Cincinnati, Ohio


Nolte Precise Manufacturing is seeking an Operations Manager with deep precision machining experience to lead the daily execution of our manufacturing operation.

Nolte is a precision contract manufacturer serving aerospace, defense, hydraulic motion control, and other industrial markets. Our approximately 50-person operation specializes in high-mix, low-to-medium volume CNC turning and milling within an AS9100 quality environment.


What You'll Do

As Operations Manager, you will own daily execution across the shop and work directly with the President to improve performance. You will:

·        Drive on-time delivery and production schedule execution.

·        Prioritize jobs, machines, labor, and staffing needs.

·        Maintain a strong daily presence on the production floor.

·        Monitor flow, utilization, capacity, downtime, and bottlenecks.

·        Coach employees, develop Team Leads, and reinforce accountability.

·        Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on setup efficiency, throughput, and workflow.

·        Coordinate across Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Shipping/Receiving, and Purchasing to remove production barriers.

·        Use operational data to identify issues and carry solutions through implementation.


What We're Looking For

We’re seeking a manufacturing leader with a strong technical foundation in precision machining. Ideal backgrounds may include machinist, CNC setup, manufacturing engineering, production management, or operations leadership within a machining environment.


Preferred experience includes:

·        CNC turning and milling

·        High-mix precision machining

·        Setup reduction and machine utilization

·        Production scheduling and capacity planning

·        Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement

·        OEE/downtime analysis

·        Coaching and performance management

·        ERP/MRP systems

·        Aeropsace or defence experience

·        AS9100 or ISO

Schedule

This is a fully on-site leadership role in Cincinnati. Hours are flexible, but the Operations Manager should be available for the 6:30 a.m. production start and adjust their schedule as needed to stay connected across shifts.
