A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead plant operations and drive performance across production, quality, safety, inventory, and continuous improvement initiatives. This individual will play a key leadership role in ensuring operational excellence while supporting business growth, customer satisfaction, and profitability objectives.


Position Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring products are produced safely, on time, within quality standards, and in alignment with cost and productivity goals. This role will lead cross-functional teams, develop operational strategies, and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term operational plans that support business goals.
  • Establish and maintain manufacturing processes and procedures that ensure consistent product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive productivity improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and waste elimination efforts.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions to improve operational performance.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor supervisors and department leaders while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with supply chain, quality, engineering, and production teams to optimize operational effectiveness.
  • Oversee staffing, workforce planning, employee development, and performance management activities.
  • Support inventory management, production planning, and material flow processes to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Champion workplace safety initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on productivity, throughput, quality, scrap reduction, and overall plant performance.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
