Job description

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our daily activities. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

All Operations Associates must train on and certify for site-specific forklifts and delivery trucks, and safely operate them once certified. In addition, all associates are expected to participate in physical inventory counts and perform light janitorial work as needed. While associates may have a primary function, all are expected to be cross-trained and able to perform the full range of operational responsibilities outlined below.

  • Schedule: Full Time Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm, with an occasional Saturday shift from 10:00am - 2:00pm on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities

Warehouse

  • Maintain the warehouse in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Safely operate forklifts and promptly report any safety issues.
  • Support store staff and customers by assisting with vehicle loading when required.
  • Execute inbound processes, including receiving, unloading, verifying, and storing shipments.
  • Execute outbound processes, including preparing, testing, staging, and loading products for delivery or customer pickup.
  • Execute transfer order processes, including picking, prepping, and staging orders to support store and customer needs.
  • Rotate warehouse equipment and stock according to First In, First Out (FIFO) standards.

Driver

  • Maintain safe operation of delivery trucks by following all traffic laws, adhering to company policies, and promptly reporting safety issues.
  • Provide professional, courteous communication and service when interacting with customers during deliveries.
  • Follow delivery schedules, routes, and procedures to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient service.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks carefully, ensuring equipment is properly secured and protected during transport.
  • Notify store or sales managers upon arrival and departure from job sites.

Pricing & Merchandising

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and accessible showroom floor and receiving area.
  • Assist customers and sales staff by maintaining an orderly and well-stocked store front and showroom.
  • Receive small wares, record receipts in NetSuite, and restock shelves as needed.
  • Print and attach price tags to shelves, ensuring all items are accurately priced.
  • Build and maintain showroom equipment and product displays in accordance with company standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or delivery driver role is preferred but not required.
  • Valid and clean driver's license/record
  • Must be able to pass a DOT Medical Examination (MER / MEC / DOT Physical)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and customers.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail.
  • Available to work Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm, with an occasional Saturday shift from 10:00am - 2:00pm on a rotational basis.
